. Don't feel intimidated about the terms, wireless routers or DSL modems.
After you understand what they are and how they work, they'll actually make sense to you. A DSL modem is what enables you to connect your computer with the world via the Internet. The phone company will come out to your site and set up the Internet connection for you. The wireless router enables to share the Internet connection with other computers in your home or office, send and receive documents to them, and print documents. You can do all of these without using any wires. Use the Ethernet cable that came with the wireless router.
Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into one of the ports on the router. Plug the other end into the computer's Ethernet port.
Step Detect the router and install the software. Turn on your devices. Your computer should automatically detect the wireless router. Install the software that came with the router. Step Configure the wireless router. Launch the Internet browser.
Look at your wireless router's documentation for the router's address. Type the router's address in the address bar and press Enter. Set up your network's parameters, including password, security, and the unique name for your network.
It has a normal ethenet wan port you would hook that to the dsl modem. They are selling this router as a broadband router but it is a normal wireless router that has the extra broadband features.
A large number of tplink routers support wireless broadband modems, for some reason they sell this one for that purpose but it works just like any other router. There is a screen you can tell it if you want to use the wan port or the 3g/4g modem as the internet. Just set it to use the wan. Thanks again for your reply bill001g, Now can you please tell me how to set up a ADSL modem with this router for the first time(BUT I HAVE USED THIS ROUTER BEFORE WITH A OPTICAL FIBER MODEM).Because my Internet Service Provider will not set up anything but they will only activate Internet Service on my phoneline and give me a User ID & Password. So I have to do the whole thing. So please reply. My ADSL MODEM MODEL:Huawei SmartAX MT882a (.
That device is a router actually. You can make it into a modem only by setting it to bridge mode. You would then do your settings for PPPoE and the userid and password in you other router.
It would likely be easier to run the huawei as a router and then use your tplink to just do the wireless as a AP. You would set the IP on the tplink 192.168.1.250 and turn off the DHCP. You would then plug the LAN port of the tplink into the Huawei. You should always search youtube for help too. There seems to be videos on everything. There are multiple on how to set up the huawei.I did not look to see if there are any to set it as bridge mode but it is obvious on the screens.

So you are saying that if I change the mode of the modem to bridge mode then I can connect my router though the WAN port to the LAN port of the modem & from the LAN port of my router I can connect my pc/laptop you also said, the huawei device is a router, then how come my Internet Service Provider says that its a modem.WHY? U can see this: Thanks again.
I have had partial success in connecting the JioFi3 to my TP-Link TD-W8698 ADSL WiFi Router. These are the steps I followed: Login to your TP Link Router.
Go to 'Quick Setup', Select 'Wireless Router Mode'. In the next page, select 'IPOE', with 'Dynamic IP' and 'Obtain Automatically'.
In the next page, 'Enable Wireless', with 'Network Authentication' as WPA-Personal. Enter 'Network Name' as JioFi3xxxx (use your JioFi3 ID), and 'Network Key' as your Jio Password. Confirm, Reboot, and login again. Go to 'Wireless' 2a.
'Enable Wireless', Enter 'SSID1' as JioFi3xxxx, and 'Country' as India. Go to 'Security', select 'SSID' as JioFi3xxxx, and 'Network Authentication' as WPA-Personal, Enter 'Wireless Network Key' as your Jip Password, and 'WPA Encryptio' as AES.
Go to 'Advanced' and select Ch 5 (my Jio works on Channel 5). Go to 'Wireless Bridge', Select 'AP Mode' as Wireless Bridge, and 'Bridge Restricted' as Enabled (Scan). Now you should see your Jio under 'Select MA Address', select it, and save. Go to 'Advanced Setup' and disable DHCP server for both IPv4 and IPv6. Reboot and re-login.
This is where I would appreciate help from someone. I expect connection to Internet, but does not happen.
I have recently installed WISP internet connection (Meghbala). Technician has installed TP-Link Access Point WA5110G as network card which is installed on the roof top & then CAT-5(RJ-45 Connector) cable is connected directly to my PC LAN Port. Now I want to know the vital question that is, I want to use my internet connection wirelessly (Wi-Fi) so that I can connect my Laptop and Android tablet also to the internet simultaneously. What I know about this, may be this issue can be solved by using a wirless router so that I can connect my PC, Laptop & Android Tablet to the internet at the same time. So please tell me the detail process step by step so that I can install & configure a wireless router and can access net to all the devices wirelessy. And suggest me a better Wi-fi Router. Does the IP of your computer star with either 10., 172., or 192.?
If so, you use any router and convert it to an AP. Thanks Emerald for your quick response. Thanks for your thread you gave me. But I am little bit confused about 'Main Router' & 'AP' as you told on your thread. I have the Wireless AP (TP-Link) installed on the roof top and a cat-5 cable is directly connected to my PC LAN port. For that reason, I can access internet only on my connected PC.
But I want wifi net connection so that I can access internet on my all wifi enabled devices like my laptop, Android Tab. I want to install a Wifi Router so that I can access internet on all devices like my laptop and android tablet as wifi connection. I have decided to buy a Wireless Router (Netgear/D-link) and I want to connect the cat-5 cable coming from the roof top wireless AP to the wifi router so that I can access internet wirelessly from anywhere in my house. Please give me the configuration process step by step so that I can connect the roof top Wireless AP to newly bought Wireless Router. Oh, one more thing. My configuration IP or Gateway is 192.168.1.254. Using this IP, I can login to the configuration page of TP-Link AP.
Tp-link Wifi Router Configuration
Getflv pro 9.0.8.1 keygen. Again thanks for your response. Looking for your best solution.
How To Connect Tp-link Wifi Range Extender
In order to share your ADSL Internet connection with other computers in a wireless home network, you must connect your ADSL modem to a TP-Link wireless router. While this seems like an easy process, knowing the instructions for hooking your Internet connection to a wireless router reduces the frustration during set up. The TP-Link wireless router should be connected to the ADSL modem using an Ethernet cable. Your ADSL Internet service should also already be activated in your home by your Internet service provider.
